Walking around Harvard Square today I realized that Cambridge is a lot less crowded than I thought it would be. The buses aren't packed, the streets aren't swarming, sometimes you can even jaywalk and not get hit by a car! Maybe if I go to downtown Boston I'll get the crowd I'm looking for.
Today was colder than the past few days ---- also just got a popup that Horak just started playing TF2. Mine is still updating from the version I had 34098145 years ago ---- ANYWAYS. I definitely shouldn't have worn leggings. 'twas chilly.
As per usual, I missed the early bus leaving for work and the earlier bus right after leaving from work. As per usual, I am a bumbling idiot in the city. Is the name of this blog "Baby in Boston" starting to make a little sense now? Why is public transportation so HARD!?! At least I didn't get lost on my way to the office like my last work-day. Actually I found it with quite a bit of ease ehehehe [my proudest moment].
That was sarcasm.
Okay okay, so get this!! For dinner, I went to Panera (oh goodness I'm so happy there's a Panera here). Panera was right next to a Qdoba, just like it is on North Campus back in Ann Arbor. I'm starting to think they're partnered up or something! BUT THAT'S NOT MY POINT. I ordered a broccoli cheddar soup and a grilled cheese. I walked out with a broccoli cheddar soup and... and... A SALAD!?!?!
Listen. LISTEN. I don't even know what kind of salad this was. And I didn't realize it until I got back to the office. I was in despair!! It had ONIONS AND GREENS AND DECIDEDLY NO CHEESE. My coworkers were very nonchalant.
Horak: "Just go back and tell them they got your order wrong and they'll give you a grilled cheese."
Brandly: "You walk in with a salad, and then you get to keep the salad while you eat your grilled cheese."
Mike: "..."
Schiff: "hehahaha!"
I admit it! I admit it! I'm lazy! And it was cold outside! So I put it in the fridge and... forgot it there. I'll throw it out tomorrow, I promise. ("Lulu, just eat the goddamn salad, jesus christ.")
While waiting for the bus home, I sat in Starbucks and worked on my Twine© lanyard. When I got home I started a download for TF2 so I could play with Joe and Horak. The reason TF2 is suddenly in the picture is because they have one of the best, funniest blogs I've ever read. I don't read a lot, so I guess it's not saying much, but pretty much every blog post on the Team Fortress page makes me laugh.
Of course, I'm still waiting for TF2 to finish updating as I write this and catch up on Girls With Slingshots.
Ah, also, I made a monitor sloth for Matt today. Er, this make sound weird out of context. I'll take a picture tomorrow.
And one more thing, Ananth, writer of Johnny Wander and Apple Geeks, TOTALLY FAVORITED A TWEET I MENTIONED HIM IN:

I'm a CITY GIRL twitter.com/lubibul/status…Not much happened today other than work. Mike bought a roll of 'Twine'© (this is a new word to me, but I get it) a while back to attach his monitor to a back of a chair. When that plan fell through, the twine was just sitting there on the table and Mike said I could use it... So I started making a lanyard for my house keys with it. Almost done, too! Probably gonna finish that before I go to bed. I'll post pictures -- I know you're all very excited to see my middle school camp lanyard project.
